Wildebeest Hunting Near Dallas, TX

Wildebeests are one of the largest antelope breeds of Southern and Eastern Africa. The male blue wildebeests stand at approximately 60 inches at the shoulder and weigh approximately 550 pounds on average. This variety is significantly larger than the black wildebeest, which is roughly two-thirds the size.

Blue wildebeest horns are particularly distinctive, protruding outward before curving downward and then back in towards the skull. The blue wildebeest have a unique symbiotic relationship with zebras. Wildebeests frequently group with for zebra for their heightened predator awareness.
