The nyala is a unique antelope native to Southeastern Africa. The hairy dark brown or slate coats of male nyala, which are sometimes tinged with blue fur, are made even more distinct by the straight white lines that grow down its sides and along the ridge of its back. This coloring, along with its spiral, yellow-tipped horns, make the nyala particularly vibrant.
Nyala generally have a 55-inch to 75-inch body length. Their weight range is between 125 and 300 pounds.
