White Rock Lake in Dallas is a calm place with lots to do. You can take a walk, bike ride or have a picnic along the 9.3-mile loop around the lake.

Lake Grapevine, conveniently located just north of the DFW International Airport, is perfect for a diverse variety of water activities. The lake also has parks and trails that are great for hiking and picnics.

 

Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve

Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve in Plano, easily accessible via the Sam Johnson Highway, offers a natural escape in an urban landscape. Locals looking for serene nature without having to leave the greater DFW area can find the peaceful isolation they seek in Oak Point Park’s woodlands, wetlands and prairies.
